Terra Technology Selected for Food Logistics FL100

 Recognition Caps Recent Awards for Growth and Quality by Business and Trade Groups

Norwalk, Conn., December 15, 2009 – Terra Technology (www.terratechnology.com), the most-trusted provider of demand sensing and inventory optimization software for consumer products companies, today announced it has been selected for the sixth-annual listing of the FL100 by Food Logistics magazine. Each year, the editors of Food Logistics recognize 100 technology and solution providers that help grocery and foodservice distributors and manufacturers reach their business goals. This year, the magazine focused the theme on managing change through hard economic times with technology. Terra has been included on the list for the past five years.

In addition, the company recently also received awards from Deloitte, the Connecticut Technology Council and the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership, Inc. In winning these awards, the company was recognized for continued growth and innovation, including record revenue increases and notable customers wins.

  • The Tri-State Deloitte Technology Fast 500 recognizes the fastest growing technology, media and entertainment, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut based on percentage revenue growth over a five year period. Recipients were announced in October. 
  • Terra also earned a Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Innovation Gold Prize, which recognizes accomplishments during the first stages of the company’s journey and stimulates interest in organizations to implement quality while fostering recognition of innovative improvements. 
  • Connecticut Technology Council and UHY LLP Tech Top 40 is a list the fastest growing technology companies in the state based on percentage revenue growth over the most recent four years. Winners are grouped into six technology verticals: Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, New Media/Internet/Telecom and Energy Environmental Technologies. Terra was included in the Software list.

 

In September, Terra announced a record 58% revenue growth. Also this year, the company was named one of SupplyChainBrian’s 100 Great Supply Chain Partners. Terra was included in the 2009 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 list and was an American Business Awards finalist in two categories.
