Kraft Foods

Kraft Foods is the world's second largest food company with annual revenues in 2010 of more than $49 billion. Kraft Foods markets biscuits, confectionery, beverages, cheese, grocery products and convenient meals in approximately 170 countries. Twelve of the company’s iconic brands – Cadbury, Jacobs, Kraft, LU, Maxwell House, Milka, Nabisco, Oreo, Oscar Mayer, Philadelphia, Tang and Trident – generate revenue of more than $1 billion annually. Gartner ranked Kraft Foods’s supply chain 25th in the Gartner Top 25.

Kraft has implemented Terra's Demand Sensing solution in North America to decrease costs, improve service levels and reduce inventory. Since going live with the software, Kraft has decreased short-term forecast error 40 percent in the businesses where the software has been implemented. Kraft also selected Terra’s Multi-Enterprise Demand Sensing and Transportation Forecasting software.

"Kraft selected Terra Technology's Demand Sensing as part of our Advanced Demand Forecasting initiative in order to gain greater supply chain visibility and create an actionable response to daily demand information. As a manufacturer of perishable products, Kraft must respond quickly to shifts in consumer preferences or risk unused inventory that has expired. Improving forecast accuracy enables Kraft Foods to produce the right product mix, decrease costs and better serve our customers."
