Robert F. Byrne
Chief Executive Officer

Robert Byrne has led Terra Technology from a start-up software firm to a top five supply chain solution provider with such Fortune 500 clients as Procter & Gamble, Campbell Soup Company and J.M. Smucker. Prior to establishing Terra, Robert held management positions at J.D. Edwards (now Oracle), Numetrix, Ltd., James River and Unilever. He has an MBA with Distinction and an M.S. in Finance from Carnegie Mellon, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering and Architecture from Princeton University. He was recently named a "Pro to Know" by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine.


Hongliang Dai, Ph.D.
Vice President of Engineering

Dr. Hongliang Dai has been vice president of engineering for Terra Technology since co-founding the company in March 2001. Prior to joining Terra’s management team, Hong spent 12 years developing supply chain software for Appareon, Inc., J.D. Edwards and Numetrix and was associate professor, aircraft engines at the University of Nanjing Aeronautics and Aerospace. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Nanjing Aeronautics and Aerospace and a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.


Stas Grishin, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President of Research & Consulting

Dr. Stas Grishin has been executive vice president of research & consulting since developing the mathematics for Terra’s first software solution in 2001. Prior to forming Terra, Stas designed and implemented forecasting, inventory optimization, deployment planning and strategic optimization models for J.D. Edwards (now Oracle). He holds a Diploma with Honors in Mathematics from Moscow State University and a Ph.D. in Stochastic Analysis from Princeton University.


Larry Layden
Vice President of Sales

Larry Layden is responsible for helping consumer products companies identify ways to improve supply chain performance through demand-driven initiatives. Prior to joining Terra, Larry spent 11 years as a senior business development supply chain executive for IBM. Throughout his career Larry has helped consumer goods companies extend their supply chain planning and execution to become demand-driven and achieve best-in-class results, which have been published by AMR Research. Prior to working for IBM, Larry spent five years as a senior management consultant for Ernst & Young and an additional five years as an operations manager in the cell culture division of Sigma Chemical. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Central Methodist University.


Michael Mastroianni
Vice President, Supply Chain Strategy

Michael Mastroianni is responsible for helping Terra's clients enhance their S&OP and planning processes by becoming more demand-driven. Michael has over 25 years of manufacturing experience at best-in-class consumer products companies including Campbell Soup and Nabisco.


Erik Van Buren
Vice President of Finance

Erik Van Buren has managed Terra’s human resources, legal, financial and administrative policies and programs since Terra’s inception in 2001. Prior to joining Terra, Erik spent six years as a manufacturing engineer discovering and implementing cost reduction systems for eight plants in the eastern region of a major plastic-container manufacturer. He holds an engineering degree from Purdue University and received his MBA with distinction from Chapman University.
