Job Responsibilities

As a consultant, you will be implementing supply chain planning (SCP) and forecasting applications for Terra clients. It will be your responsibility to integrate, configure and develop robust, scalable and expandable customer implementation solutions using Terra software.

Your role on our implementation teams of 2-4 consultants will have multiple aspects, including:

  • Meeting with clients and conducting interviews of business users
  • Analyzing data, identifying process/systems issues, forming hypotheses and solution approaches
  • Developing technical solutions, including writing and testing SQL procedures and/or UNIX/Windows shell scripts to meet customer integration requirements
  • Testing, running and tuning forecasting and inventory models with customer data sets
  • Training business users and client IT personnel

You will closely work with experts in supply chain planning and forecasting and have an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge base and skills.

Your general supply chain knowledge and expertise in SCP/ERP tools may be called upon as part of Terra consulting engagements with clients that use those tools.

Positions are open immediately, no relocation is required.

Experience/Skills

As a rule of thumb, people with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and/or an advanced degree in a relevant field may be considered for Senior Consultant position, while recent college graduates may be considered for a Consultant position.

Required Experience/Skills

  • Supply Chain background and/or PL/SQL/SQL*Plus knowledge
  • Ability and desire to expand your own expertise (in particular, this means that if you only have 1 of the 2 characteristics above, you will be expected to acquire the other in a reasonable time)
  • Analytical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to deliver quality work on time
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

In addition, Senior Consultant candidates should have

  • 2+ years of supply chain implementation experience
  • PL/SQL and SQL*Plus coding experience
Experience/skills considered a plus:
  • Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Engineering, Mathematics, SCM/Logistics, Computer or other Sciences
  • Work at a supply chain and/or ERP consulting or software company
  • Work in the supply chain organization of a consumer products company
  • UNIX/Windows Shell scripting
  • Oracle Developer, Consultant, DBA
  • .Net experience
