Demand Sensing
Demand Sensing Solutions
What is Demand Sensing? According to AMR Research, “Demand sensing is the translation of downstream data with minimal latency to understand what is being sold, who is buying the product, and the impact of demand-shaping programs.”¹
Terra Technology offers the first demand sensing solution with proven real-world results. Our software decreases forecast error by 40 percent or more for all of our customers, enabling a significant reduction in inventory and cost savings. We don’t just make that claim; our customers support it in video interviews, press releases and case studies.
Procter & Gamble
- Cut forecast error by more than 30%
- Decreased safety stock by more than 10%
- Expects to increase cash flow by over $100 million
Demand Sensing
Terra’s Demand Sensing applies pattern recognition algorithms to downstream data to create an accurate prediction of demand. The software bolts on to traditional demand planning systems and is completely compatible with demand planning systems from all major ERP and supply chain vendors, including SAP, JDA/Manugistics and Oracle.
Multi-Enterprise Demand Sensing
End-to-end planning requires end-to-end forecasting, intelligently reconciling multiple daily demand signals from all echelons in the supply chain including Point-of-Sale data, channel inventory, and retailer forecasts. Terra’s Multi-Enterprise Demand Sensing (MDS) delivers better end-to-end planning by creating a single, more accurate forecast that analyzes and reconciles multiple daily demand signals. MDS uses pattern recognition mathematics to more accurately predict retailer requirements.
