Project Manager

Description

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives, communicate regularly with senior management and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The position is open in CT.

  • Direct and manage project from beginning to end
  • Define/deliver project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and clients
  • Develop/manage full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and clients in a timely and clear fashion
  • Liaise with clients on an ongoing basis
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals

Position Requirements

  • B.S. Degree
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations fields
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Operations and Supply Chain Management software
  • Minimum 5 years direct work experience in project work and management, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Familiar with programming languages such as SQL and Unix
  • Database and operating systems experience such as Oracle or SAP
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management

Consultant/Senior Consultant

Description

Participate in solution design and implement Terra’s Demand Sensing and Inventory Optimization applications that help companies fine-tune their supply chains.

Job Responsibilities

As a consultant, you will be implementing supply chain planning (SCP) and forecasting applications for Terra clients. It will be your responsibility to integrate, configure and develop robust, scalable and expandable customer implementation solutions using Terra software.

Your role on our implementation teams of 2-4 consultants will have multiple aspects, including:

  • Meeting with clients and conducting interviews of business users
  • Analyzing data, identifying process/systems issues, forming hypotheses and solution approaches
  • Developing technical solutions, including writing and testing SQL procedures and/or UNIX/Windows shell scripts to meet customer integration requirements
  • Testing, running and tuning forecasting and inventory models with customer data sets
  • Training business users and client IT personnel

You will closely work with experts in supply chain planning and forecasting and have an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge base and skills.

Your general supply chain knowledge and expertise in SCP/ERP tools may be called upon as part of Terra consulting engagements with clients that use those tools.

Experience/Skills

As a rule of thumb, people with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and/or an advanced degree in a relevant field may be considered for Senior Consultant position, while recent college graduates may be considered for a Consultant position.

Lead Test Engineer

Description
As a lead test engineer, you will directly contribute to this newest segment of enterprise software by participating in the testing, release, and maintenance of our software.

  • Interaction with developers on test case development, test approaches, and testing of individual components & releases
  • Development of automated test scripts and custom test harnesses in Oracle PL/SQL for data driven regression, functional, unit, and performance/scalability testing
  • Execution of functional, regression, load, and unit tests in Oracle
  • Defect tracking, metrics collection and reporting
  • Tuning forecasting and inventory models with customer data sets
